Not even close. This is the latest and newest technology in the Canon Telephoto Zoom L Series line. It sells on Amazon for $2295.00 New. Here is the link:

His is the IS II model, the current first line 70-200mm. Kinf od hard to keep up sometimes as Canon sells 5 70-200mm lenses at the moment.

With current rebates, brand new lens is not that much more expensive. Would you be willing to take $1,500? Will give it a loving home :)

I sold mine and got the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 and A Tamron 90mm Macro lens for the sale. Both lenses are awesome. You might consider that.

Actually, I was thinking along those lines, but in addition to the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 I was going to go after the Tamron 16-300 SC. I MAY STILL DO THAT. thanks for the input.

David - you cannot remove the post, but you can edit the title as well to say SOLD. See "Edit Topic's Title" at the upper left above Bookmark. Glad you sold. I ran more than a few scenarios thru my mind over the past few days on why I needed this lens from you ....

I did edit the original posting to show it was no longer for sale, but I do not know how to edit the title. I did not sell the lens, I just changed my mind and decided to keep it. In fact I am going to use it today to shoot my granddaughter's cheer line contest over in Phoenix.
