Without a doubt, Oldsmobile 88 diesel, early 1980"s. The car was so forgettable I cannot remember exactly what year it was. It would not run, the dealer would not take it back in trade. "Why don't you try to sell it yourself". It was junked, and that started my love affair with Lincoln. I had 4 Town Cars and loved each one, now have a Ford Edge which is great. Currently have 95,000 miles, original tires.

65 Corvair I bought for $85 while stationed at Homestead AFB in 1973. Oil leaked past pushrod tube seals even more than what was burned ... hee hee. Needed an oxygen mask when you turned the heater on.

1984 Caddy Eldo! I think that is why they invented the Lemon Laws!

Wow - I guess I have been really lucky in terms of "CARma".... I even had a Ford Pinto station wagon that I traded in with 140,000 miles on it - never had a problem with it. They wanted to contact the Smithsonian to see if they wanted the car! Have mostly had Honda cars, and a few Toyotas. They have always been extremely well-made and reliable.

Hands down the Olds Calais I had back in the 80's. That thing spent more time in the shop than on the road.
"L-E-M-O-N" does not even come close to describing this lovely piece of blue poop. I remember the bank calling for a late payment, where upon, I gladly gave them the name of the shop it was 'living' in and welcomed them to go pick it up and tow it back to the bank, with my blessing. Sadly, they refused.

That is easy a Dodge Charger than my wife had a 2010 Dodge caravan. It was the the turbo in the Charger and tranny. Everything with the van from electronics to brakes and would not honor their warranty on brake parts that was not the pads. My new saying is that Dodge should give their cars away because they can make money by fixing them.

Triumph Spitfire 80 vintage. POS always had something wrong with it. Constant electrical problems, Fuel problems, Proudest day of my life was when I watched it go down the street with a new owner driving and 1800.00 in my hand.

Of the 50+ cars and trucks I have owned in the last 50 years, the worst was a 1979 Dodge Magnum. It was basically a Dodge version of the Chrysler Cordova, which is strange because I have owned three Cordovas and they were all great cars. I suppose I can blame most of the Dodge's problem on Chrysler's "lean burn" computer which was attached to the air cleaner. They only used it for two years, but the darn thing gave me fits and is the reason I only kept the car for a year and a half.

The worst car I ever owned was a 1984 Chrysler Laser. It was a little sport hatchback and it was a mess. I purchased it new (Sticker was 14K) and from the very first day it was a disaster. The crowning jewel of disappoint was when the windshield popped out and shattered on the wiper arms when I shut the door with the windows up on day four while picking it up from having the power steering pump replaced because it had exploded on day two.

The worst car I ever owned was a FIAT 1500 - What a load of c***. The Brakes were atrocious, the acceleration was non-existant.

I've been lucky but to be honest, I'd have to say the one with the most problems was also the most fun. That was my TR-3. It was a fun summer car but in the winter, forget it...it had no heater to speak of. I think I had a tape deck installed because there was no radio or a poor one. In the summer, couldn't have been a better car.

I had a TR-3 in the mid 60s. It ran well and was a blast! My heater worked OK as did the radio. Only problem was it kept snaping generator brackets. I believe they were castings. I kept a spare with me and tools to change it on the run. Finally had one made out of steel and never had to change it again.

Bent a valve one time, but that was my fault.

1976 Ford Granada. After 2 years, the paint started peeling and the A/C went out. But it had a great cruise control. On second thought, it was a 1992 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Told the service rep that he had it more than I did. Taught me never to buy a first year model.

I can't for the life of me remember the name, but it was a 4 cylinder, wouldn't make 70 mph, and struggled on a low hill. I traded it in after 3 months.

Sounds like a Renault Dauphine a friend of mine had!

My worst was a late 80s Subaru wagon I bought new. At 400 miles something in the distributor broke and left me on the side of the road before July 4th weekend. Parts didn't get ordered until following Wednesday, took over a week to get in and when repaired and they brought the car up to me, the camshaft folded in half. Another two weeks waiting for parts and the repair.

After that, the a/c compressor broke 3 or 4 time before 20k miles. Brakes went at 10K due to sticking master cylinder. Never could get the thing completely right. It did last about 110k miles, but something was always broken

Mine was a 1986 Buick Park Avenue. Every other month it was in the shop for work, thank GOD it was under warranty. I dumped it in 1988.
