A Few from Above (Basketball)

Finally had a chance to go up into the catwalk of this arena to get some basketball shots. A lot of time was spent up there with very little to show for it, but I think I was able to get a couple of keepers.

I think these are fantastic! How many of us ever get to see this viewpoint, even if watching the game on TV. Super!

Were you spying for the other team, see you shooting the coachs plays in #1!!! Very different view.

Thank you all for the comments. I had been wanting to get a shot like this for some time and finally had the opportunity. I spent about ten minutes of game time (30 minutes real time) up there (about 70 feet above the floor) hanging over the rail holding about ten pounds of gear (lens and camera body). It was all worth it though.

I doubt would have anything to show for it. Both are very nice photos so you did not waste your time. Great job and thank you for the perspective. Maybe when I am much better I will give it a try but I will not be holding my breath till then LOL.
