I have a Canon 7D with three lenses. One lens, the Tokina wide angle, has suddenly produced images with a yellowish tinge. Can anyone suggest a cause or, better yet, solution?

Suddenly? It wasn't there before?

Filter on the Tokina?

White Balance setting?

Post an image that shows the issue with store original checked so the EXIF is displayed.

Better yet, shoot the same scene with the 'bad' lens & a 'good' lens - so we can see the difference.

I'll speculate, that you've - somehow - adjusted the white balance and that's causing that dreaded yellow tinge.

Try another test shot with sun light, not overcast.

Thanks Gallagher. You were right about White Balance. I had accidentally left the camera set for outdoor shade for an indoor shot. You may be a hedgehog, but not an ugly one.

And thanks to the other hogs who took the time to help. What a site, enriching and indispensable.

The first two images you posted for us to look at "appear" to be identical. I mean from the same exact lens. There's no way that you can get such identical placement of pixels after changing lenses with different zoom values.

Yes, you're right. I was in too much of a hurry.

I had one of those lenses like yours and I had several 12x18 enlargements made from its files and they looked awesome. It has some chromatic aberrations but it is a great lens.
What immediately caught my attention was your "suddenly turned yellow" statement. I suspected that you had set the wrong WB in camera but that has been properly addressed already.
Many photographers shoot RAW because of the flexibility of the files but usually expensive software is needed for editing. You can shoot RAW with a tungsten WB and it is a piece of cake to change the WB during editing.
When using JPEG files the camera imbed the WB set by the photographer and then if it needs to be changed it has to be done by Photoshop users with the Color Balance filter available in Image>Adjustments.
I am sure you are relieved that there is nothing wrong with your lens.
