What ? they have a lot of names for George's daybut because of what it is I thought it was only right to show you folks some of him on Mount Rushmore. Some of these are shot at the scenic pull over where one can get just a Profile of Washington. Two of these are from a tunnel on Iron Mountain Road but it gives you a pretty neat view and a few were taken from a 4X4 trail above Keystone on the 4th of July
Profile of George it was taken a few years ago but it don't change it's looks much as the years go along.
Another Profile of George!
This is the way it looks as you get to the top of the mountian.I thought it was a lot smaller than the history books made it look as I came through school.
This is a look at Mount Rushmore from Keystone in fact this is the torist trap that my wife and I worked at it is known as the Big THunder Gold Mine but to us that worked there it was known as the Big Blunder A story in that I may tell it later I have the whole tour on film it is really interesting if you have the facts and they are not the ones told by the owners or the kids that give the tour.
This was a fly over of Mount Rushmore the 4th of july. This is a B-1 B really amasing to watch when I moved to South Dakota I lived at the back of the air base and used to love watching these birds do their touch and gos.
Here I was fooling aroound with the magification on the new camera it is really good not like I have said before a Nikon but Not bad this picture was shot from that 4x4 trail and at this time I would say about 6 miles away.
Another one brought in closer. Pretty good Optics.
This was the closest I could get to it with the lens that Kodak allows those that buy the fixed and welded to the camera lens.

I will have to find them I thought that I knew right where they were I should be able to find them or maybe I will just stop by there and get a few fresh one this week. sorry but the best laided plans of mice and men often go astray!!!
Here are the Pictures that I shot from the Tunnel on Iron Mountain Road.
Very nice pictures of one of America's great treasures. I have a lot of respect for the men depicted on there as well as those who craved the faces in the stone. Can't say the same for the truckers who think they own the roads out there. No wonder they have to have run-offs for them.
Have you ever had 80,000 pounds pushing you down the road much less off a mountain. I think not, maybe what we need is a rider program to help you and the other 4 wheelers what it is to handle one of them. The run offs or escape ramps are really a catch all not only for 18 wheelers but also for those that are hauling things like campers it is a safety ramp for all and I guess maybe there are a lot who thank god that they are there. Oh well so be it the argument go on to people against the cops and the truckers against all others.
