I want to thank all you veterans for the freedom we enjoy to argue Canon/Nikon/Sony. Were it not for you we would likely not have the choices we currently have though most are Japanese products I doubt we would enjoy them the way we do. watch this video.

You look a bit younger and less well fed.
Thank you so much. Those who served in Vietnam got a raw deal as far as respect and it is sad. Korea was not too far behind as far as no respect either.

You are correct, but I got my home coming here at one of our High School
Veterans Day programs in 1987. Lots of tears that day but it made me
proud to be who I am. Those kids did a heart warming show that didn't
leave a dry eye in the house. I still get invited to the programs every
year. mdh

My son-in- law is in the Navy. I served in the Army in 1972 through 1975 in Germany. In WWII my dad was in Europe and my father-in-law all over both theaters. I still remember friends and sons of friends that did not live through their service. Yes the veterans have kept us free in spite of the bumbling idiots in DC

In a very real way, the U.S. Army was indirectly responsible for the innovations and manufacturing miracles that arose out of Japan after WWII as they began to rebuild a ravaged economy that was not even able to feed itself. Among the government contractors sent over to help rebuild Japan was a man named William Edwards Deming who stayed on after his work when the new census was done.

Wikipedia: Deming is best known for his work in Japan after WWII, particularly his work with the leaders of Japanese industry which began in August 1950 at the Hakone Convention Center in Tokyo with a now seminal speech on what he called Statistical Product Quality Administration, which many in Japan credit with being the inspiration for what has become known as the Japanese post-war economic miracle of 1950 to 1960, rising from the ashes of war to become the second most powerful economy in the world in less than a decade, founded on the ideas first taught to them by Dr Deming.

What Deming taught the Japanese was that although they had no agriculture and only basic manufacturing, they could still start exporting something that the world needed but did not have ... quality manufacturing and innovation.

It would be another 25 years before the U.S. accepted and started implementing Deming's ideas on quality.

Most excellent. was in 71-88 and just fadeded into the background. Don't mind though as it was my choice.

Thank you but the wrong people are seeing this. We know and understand.

Do the greedy on wall street and CEO's and the very rich and those who take advantage of honest hard working people and even our politicians and elected officials ever see this or even come close to understanding? Only a few of them do. I do not know how to get these people to see it or understand it and I wish that someone did.
Our country really needs someone that can really change the country for the better. So far that has not happened even when promised.

Well even with that we veterans still keep the faith. HooRah
