I know that flowers aren't a popular image subject on the Forum, but the specks of golden pollen caught my attention, so clicked on this one.

Lots of people shoot flowers and why not? They are pretty. I like the contrast of colors here, and you are right about the dust. Creates a point of interest. Well done.

Really appreciate the comment, ebbote. I have to admit that I'm a pushover for a pretty bloom.

Thank you, ebrunner. Yes, I find extraordinary beauty in some of the simplest flowers. It's good to know that there are many of us "bloom shooters" out there : )

Very pretty! There is much beauty to be discovered in flower photography. And plenty of us are interested :)

Is this one of those tiny, "mini pansies?" Different names, I think, but in Maine we called them Johnny jump-ups. Have no idea why :)

Yes, Linda, I think you've got it right. In Texas, most are referred to simply as "Pansies." But many, many varieties and colors. Thank you for responding to the post.

If so many would stop and look deeply at flowers like this and see what we see, THEN, continue that effort and see the beauty in them when they look at their fellow man. I really feel that this would be a far better world. There is Gold Dust in ALL OF US. Thank you . I love this pic.
