Moved up to full frame. This A77, with under 5000 actuations had been used as a backup, but that didn't happen often. Absolutely like new, pristine condition. No picture cause you know what it looks like. Too many features to list, besides you guys know the specs and reputation. This great camera with 24 megapixels is yours for $625 plus shipping.

Actually I've the Tamron 16-50MM 2.8 lens, a Minolta 70-210MM Zoom and a virtually brand new Sony HV43 Flash, along with UV protective lens on both lens and lens hoods, two 18 gig cards, battery charger and two batteries. Would love to make a package deal for the entire package. Everything is pristine, even the
vintage Minolta lens...which has workman ship as good or better than what they are putting together today.....Everything checks out and working super. I'm moving to full frame which is why I'm getting rid of this entire system. Jim

Joe, since I'd communicated with you, I've had another interested party show interest in the Sony package, but feel since you were first to inquire, I owe it to you to give you a heads up.

Don't know whether you're interested in just the A77 camera, the entire package which you inquired about, or just select items. But wanted to let you know there is some interest from another "Hog". By the way, price of the entire package as described to you in my earlier PM is $1300 plus shipping. Jim

Joe, the body & 70-210MM Minolta lens have been sold. Still have the Tamron 16-50MM lens and that really extraordinary Model 43 Sony Flash that I've yet to list, but plan to do so this afternoon.

How much are you asking for the Tamron 16-50? What condition? How old? :)

Hi Laura....actually the lens is a 17-50MM 2.8. There is an identifying number 16 as part of the official description of the lens, and I evidently picked it up in error. Anyway, to answer your question, the lens was purchased about two years ago and was on my backup camera which was hardly ever taken out of my camera backpack. It is virtually in showroom new condition and in checking, it's selling through B&H for $499. I'm asking $400 (Plus shipping) for it with lens hood and protective UV filter on it No dings, dents or mold. Glass is pristine. In researching this lens, it was highly recommended and on par with the Sony "kit" lens offered with the A77, but without the high sticker price.

Okay, thank you very much!! I'm still trying to decide whether to move forward with Sony or switch to one of the other two big guys! Just not sure how much more money to put into A mounts before I decide. I have an old A500, with the kit lens, and want to move up. Let me think about it, but don't hold it for me! Still pondering!

They're all good cameras and you certainly aren't gonna go wrong with Sony. One of the fun things to me was shopping around for some of the Minolta lens that work on the Sony and they're out there for quite reasonable prices. And they are built like Sherman tanks! Good luck in your search and decision and if I can provide any more input, don't hesitate to PM me anytime.

I've been so afraid to buy any lenses from Minolta because I've heard most of them aren't auto focus. I'm not so great with manual yet, since my own eye sight isn't great! They all are a little out of focus. This started when I decided I "needed" (ha) a new lens. But then...what to put it on - my older entry level A500 or upgrade to a nicer one. And which nicer one? Which system? Stay with DX or go FX! I became overwhelmed! So, now I'm looking for a 'deal' lens to get rid of some of my 'need' to buy new equipment! Ever had that itch to get something new and get re-inspired? That itch has led me down many a rabbit hole, I've rented cameras and lenses, I've stayed up late studying, I've stalked professionals...So that is where I am! I'll certainly shoot you a PM if I have a question! No more lenses to sell though, right? ;)

Oh, my, it's like I've discovered a twin sister in Atlanta. As I read your last note it was me all over. Lose sleep over a decision, research, observe, etc. etc. When I made the decision to go FF it was because I do so much work at golf tournaments for a client and they are often taking my shots and plastering them on 9 foot banners to display at tournaments and other functions. For most uses, I think you'll find DX is gonna work great. As far as eyesight, welcome to the world of the aging.....don't forget, too, that most of your better cameras have qn ocular adjustment on the viewfinder, and that can make a world of difference in what you see and where you aim your Autofocus indicator. I've no other Sony lenses, but I do have one piece of Sony equipment that I'm gonna hate to part with and thats the Model 43 electronic flash. Like most Sony equipment, it was expensive, but it is as well-built a piece of equipment as I've ever owned. In fact, I went to the trouble of seeing if there was any type of reliable "adaptor" that would make the Sony flash interface with the Nikon TTL system. Sadly, Sony has engineered their equipment (at least this piece) where it's for Sony and Sony only. So that's going up on the auction block. Great corresponding with you and look forward to more communiques in the future. My e-mail, by the way is jimrogers2@sbcglobal.net. if you care to use that.

Hey Jim, was curious what your looking to get for the Sony flash? If you still have it of course.

Still have Flash Unit with carrying case List Price $399.
Asking $325 Plus shipping. Was used very infrequently mounted on A77 camera. Am selling off that system because am converting to FF system. This is a pristine piece of equipment. Never dropped, works superbly. Built like a tank with power to spare. I do not have Users Folder unfortunately. But equipment is showroom condition.
