Thanks. Don't remember what they were looking at. These were candid shots trying out my new Nikkor 28-300 on my D700.

Speaking as a grandfather of 2 grandaughters, now 'tween agers'- Why use the headband and bow? She is a beautiful child with a deliteful expression. To me, it just distracts from the subject.

It's all about what you like. As for me try the band higher with little hair sticking out in front of the band and turn the flower more in line with her eye. George is right about the back ground which you can do something with in post processing. You will have a lot of shots with bad back ground to get those great non scripted moments.
