Any opinion on which is the best flash extender for on camera flash. Looking to purchase one. Thanks
I use a couple of Flash Extenders/Better Beamers....
Various models are shown here:

EDIT: Whoops! I just noticed you specified "on-camera flash". If you mean the built-in flash, I don't use that at all and don't know of any flash extender made to use with it. If you mean an accessory flash mounted in the camera's hot shoe, I'd suggest getting a flash bracket and an off-camera shoe cord, to move the flash away from the lens axis.
If hoping to use for wildlife, putting an extender on a built-in flash that's so close to the lens axis will cause severe eyeshine or redeye. A taller, accessory flash that fits in the hotshoe would be a little better, but still often can cause a problem (the longer the lens focal length, the worse the problem will be)... hence the need for a flash bracket.

I agree with Allen...Better Beamers are very nice and will help to a certain extent.

As far as repositioning the flash, Wimberley, Jobu and Really Right Stuff have great solutions, though they are not cheap. Biggest issue with flash is that when you shoot through brush and trees, the twigs and stuff that is closer will be brightly illuminated, and the shutter speed is generally limited to the flash sync speed. Using FP sync to increase shutter speed severely reduces flash output. So yes, they work, but with some limitations.
