I wouldn't have a clue but this site has more Ibanez info, opinion, and history than I would have thought possible.

I build archtops and I'm very happy with Kent Armstrong fingerboard mount, mini humbuckers. Pickguard mounted vol. and tone wheels. They suit blues and twangy, low note country picking.

Depends on guitar. My collection spans from fender to Gibson to rickenbacher to flamenco. God in too. I hate most stock humbuckers...too much bass. Love single coils, like p90. Just put a pair of Seymour ducan p90 phat cats on my Gibson les Paul. Stock Gibson Humbuckers were HO..hum. P90 is great. Especially thru a Marshall DSL 100 tube amp, or Hiwatt, and fender super reverb tube.

The rick has stock single coils, like my fender strat and tele, and I love the tone. That's because they are single coil, and stock as well.

I love that model Ibanez; great body, slim neck and other than being "slightly thin" in tone...it's a great guitar.

I too enjoy this model. I replaced the chrome hardware with black, and I was just wondering if maybe I'd swap out to some higher end pick-ups? I can't imagine having guitar without Humbucker on it. Really liking the Screamer Picks too...
