Pretty good, but as Bob said things need separation or they tend to blend in. The trees are separated in color, but in B&W they blend into the house. Maybe a little tweaking in color before the conversion to B&W sketch?

Brush the trees separately and use Ansel's Zones???? Would that work.

I have noticed that conversion to B&W with or without sketch tends to lighten dark colors. So maybe while still in color darken the blacks and grays, then convert.

There are literally thousands of different looks one of these conversions can take on. I enjoy watching what people come up with ..... it shows they're curious and eager to experiment, and that's how we all get better.

It may be that this particular photo was too detailed to work well as a sketch. I converted it myself, using my standard presets, and found that I had to desaturate and lighten the tones to keep it from being too ponderous. Would you like to see the result?

Thanks for letting me get into the sandbox with you klbuild. This was my approach, converted from your "Before" photo. It is really quite similar to yours.
