From what I can tell, I can't get a shutter count on the dx2. Unless you know something I don't! I'm open to finding out.

The D2X isn't listed, but it might work.

This site lists it as working:

I bought a used D2Xs a couple of years ago, also for $400.00 and was able to download a image for the shutter count. So I don't think it should be a problem with your D2X. I love the feel of the camera in my hand, and it still provides me with amazing images. Good luck selling this great work horse of a camera.

I tried both of these sites. Neither one works with the d2x.

Make sure the picture is a Jpeg that has not been altered .

Hi Atomicmechanic, your experience and attitude reflects my background, including Nikon and the D2X. Shooting the D300 and D7000 currently along with a whole brace of Nikon lenses. X-Air Force background and Vietnam Vet so you can tell that I am an old fella but love the skydiving and skiing still. What is your specialty in photography. Been a professional photographer in weddings (who hasn't) and product photography but mostly wildlife and scenic at the moment. Do you have a web or internet presence for your photography? Rpbert
