I don't do that much birding, it mostly sits in a clear storage unit looking good, I figure that I will buy some high end lenses that are more aligned with what I shoot.

7dMARKii IS AN APS-C SENSOR, MAYBE YOU SHOULD KEEP THE LENSES TILL YOU SEE IF THE 6d SELLS.

You make a good point, I will go with which ever deal happens first, I will be out of town working for a few weeks, I have already purchased a 24-105 lens for the new full frame and will wait on purchasing an ultra-wide, I may be wrong but I don't think that the 6D is going to sell on this site and I am warming to the idea of the full frame camera.

Upgraded to Full Frame so I am selling some lenses.

EF-S 10-22 in like New condition comes with Hood and packed in original box... $475

EF-S 15-85 IS Excellent condition, no box... oops! $525

300mm F/4L Very Clean, no marks on the barrel and perfect Glass, all functions operate perfectly. Comes with Box and Nylon Carrying case. $1000

I will consider doing some trading, I am interested in both a high quality ultra wide angle and a walk around lens for my new 6D. Or, I would consider trading my new unopened not yet delivered from B&H 6D and $400 for a new 7D Mark II. I actually wanted the 7D when I purchased the 6D but could not pass up on the deal that is no longer being offered. My preference is still the 7D but if I have to I am sure that I can learn to live with the 6D.

If interested in any of these lenses please PM me, I will send pics. I will pay for shipping and will ship as soon as I can confirm Paypal payment.

Blurry, sounds like you're trying to talk yourself into the 6D!
I can only assume that most going with the 7ll are getting it because it will take them forward for what they do.
I'm going from a 5ll to the 7ll. And it's not for a bigger sensor, better noise or gps. It's for those 65 cross focus points of which my 5ll and the 6D only have one! Definately gonna go forward.
It's hard to race, without a race car! I've been doing it for almost 5 years.
Send the 6 back, sell a few of those lenses and sell your current shooter. Then get what you really want or need. Good luck with that trade! ;-)

Well, I got a deal that is no longer available, let's just say that I don't feel that I could afford the 7D mk II but I could afford the deal that I was able to get on the 6D.... about $50 more than I paid for a used 60D a couple a years back which was the best deal on a used 60D within a 100 mile radius of my home.... Yes, about 1/2 of what B&H is selling them for right now. It was a deal that sold out in a couple of hours and then discontinued, I guess they call that a loss leader, . I would prefer the 7D MKII as I do understand that it is cutting edge, but I can't afford its rollout price, I am sure that I will get along just fine with the 6D even though it is not my preference. I just changed the listing to sell the 6D for $1400, which as far as I can tell is $200 less than B&H or Adorama. It is brand new unopened from B&H so the warranty should remain intact. I have already purchased a 24-105 f/4 L to replace the 15-85 and in a couple of weeks will go ahead and purchase a 17-40 to replace the 10-22. I am sure that I will enjoy this camera or I would also enjoy the 7D if someone decides to take me up on my offer for the 6D, either way, I am an amateur and I am sure that either camera will serve me well.

Thanks for your comment, I do agree with you that the new 7D is a very special camera.

I agree, as usual, with the 7d2 looking like a very special upgrade....but....if....only they had included wifi.
I am suspicious that Canon did this on purpose to super promote an upcoming 7Diii that will doubtlessly include wifi and full operation by an android device. Perhaps in their defense they have not quite mastered wifi for cameras yet?

Android app writers will jump in and write many wonderful apps that will make the 7Diii a must have for many.

The 5Diii is lacking in so many items, wifi, gps, internal flash, that it is on hold for me for a long time. A DSLR without wifi and GPS is obsolete in my book.

I welcome your opinion about Canon and their marketing games.

Maybe Canon will some day succumb to the pressures of a popup flash on a full frame, but I think that it is a statement that no professional photographer would ever consider using a pop up flash... after all the 5D series is supposed to be the staple of professional photography. The 6D is designed to be a backup camera for a pro or "prosumer" camera for the amateur who has to have a full frame. The 6D has no popup flash either. I own both a 50D and a 60D and to be quite honest with you I felt the 60D to be a step backwards from the 50D, plastic shell, no multi-function controller... just not an exciting camera for someone used to the 50D. The 6D is simply a 60D on steroids with a couple of extra features thrown in and one major missing item from the 60D... the articulating screen which is at times very handy, especially for those who utilize live view.

You are correct in what you are saying, it seems that they are using different technologies to promote different cameras and price points. The 70D has the articulating screen of the 60D and the touch screen of the T5i, it has the WiFi but not the GPS.... The 7D MarkII has the best processors and sensor on the market and carries a hefty price tag but lacks many of the features of the 70D which sells for $800 less.

The 6D, like I said is just like a 60D without many of the features on the 70D but has Wifi and GPS to go along with that big sensor, it has a slow High Speed Frames per second on continuous shooting.... But they can't make it as good as the 5D Mark III because they still have to sell the 5D at $1500 more than they are charging for the 6D.

You are correct, it is all about marketing and creating different consumer demand and price points for each product.

Thanks, I would have bought a 6D, but very low AF points compared to 7Dii and 5diii and 7iii. I would even forego the on board flash used seldom for over hanging leaves exposure but most to fire a remote 580EX ii. I guess I am lucky to be able to buy what I want. Some day they will build it.
Heaven forbid needing to fish in a different pond.

BTW: I also bought a 24-105 to get ready for a FF.

ooops did someone mention a 6Dxx?
