Did you know, if you make a post on UHH it may end up on Google?
For instance I posted some pictures called "Old dugout homes in Kansas"
When I went to Google to find some information on 'Old stone dugout homes in Kansas' My post was the first thing to come up.
I also found other posts where if the title is searched in Google the UHH post appears.
I did not know this was happening until now.

Anything and everything that you post to the internet can be found by search engines like Google or Firefox.

It is not actually on Google, but the address is located by Google, and clicking the address brings the viewer to the appropriate location in UHH.

That is why all my posts are low res, <100 ppi. You can see, but not get a decent print.

I don't think Firefox is actually a search engine, and Google does in fact index (and store) several pages worth of data on its own servers. So even if a page is removed, a Google search may still find it long after it's gone. This is dependant on how often Google refreshes its index files.

I guess that is a good idea when you don't want your pictures printed.

Another good idea. Most of my pictures so far I don't care if they are copied. Maybe someday when I get better I will worry about that.

I have found that if you go on Google, type in a subject such as Canada goose and click on Images you will gethundreds of pictures of them. This is probably not what they are looking for however.

Don't forget about the Internet Archive, a group whose goal is save for posterity everything posted on the Internet since 1996. They now boast they have 150 billion pages saved. They don't catch everything but they do try. I am sure they have all UHH. They are good source for old movies and images.
