For all you photographers who shoot indoors and use seamless photo paper, where is the best place to order rolls from? :P

I purchase mine from my local camera shop, cost is a little less than amazon (after the $20 shipping fee) and the box is never torn and the paper is never damaged, which happened when I ordered online. If they don't have a colour I want/need they will order it for me at no extra cost.

I love my local camera shop, they are amazing.

I would love to have a local camera shop, but the closest to me is about an hours drive. With gas prices the way they are, it would probably cost me less to have it shipped. However, ensuring that the paper gets here undamaged may be worth the drive!

My local shop is an hour drive as well, I live way out in the middle of horse country, but I plan my trips to the camera store for when I am going into town (it's a 1/2 drive to the grocery store).

Educate me please, what is seamless photo paper? Are you talking about paper to run through you printer or for background in potraits?

Go green or blue screen backdrop and digital backgrounds. What you pay for paper you can have 100s of digital background. You can make you backdrop in photoshop also. Have fun with it.

When your shipment arrives, open it - make SURE it is not damaged before you sign for it. IF it is damaged, refuse to accetp it, make the shipper pay for a new item!

Have you ever gotten the delivery person to stick around for long enough to actually inspect large items? I just take pictures of the box. Then I can carefully unwrap. I get about 10 deliveries a week. I had a piece of glass broken inside a well wrapped package and the individual promptly sent a new piece wrapped in a different way.

My last roll of 107" seamless paper came in a box with a bend. The roll was fine.

Great shots, MWAC! But what are you doing to that poor girls hair in 1st pic? lol
Better question: How do you bribe the kids to be so patient with you to allow you to take so many great shots? I have a hard time just getting my grandkids to hold still, or even slow down enough to get a shot!

Seemless paper is used as a backdrop, comes in a rainbow of colours. Below are some of my snapshots using paper backdrops.

I didn't do that to her hair, her and her sister were playing hair dresser. I did have hair like this when I was about 16, only mine was lighting blue and shaved on one side of my head.

They are actually really good at sitting and letting me practice, we have it down to almost an art. Once a week I set up my little studio, they will sit for 10 to 15 minutes and let me snap away and then they are on their merry little way and I am happy as a lark. It gets to be more of an issue when the weather get's nicer and I want to pack up the car and take some shots, there is more time involved and they try to fight that.

Ah, Yeah! IF they want my sig, and there's even a CHANCE the merch is damaged - they WILL wait! Or, take it home with them, because I did not sign.

I don't do much portrait stuff, but I have a question. It seems that paper, especially with kids or stools (or chairs) on it would damage and rip easily, or at least wrinkle. Wouldn't be cheaper in the long run to by the cloth backdrops (muslin?) ?
