S-curves for composition

Went out early this morning. I ended up shooting away from the sunrise because the beach had a really nice soft light to it. I started looking for lines and found that the s-curve of the shoreline made a nice compositional element. Black and white seemed the way to go here.

Nice shots Ebrunner. #2 has a nice s curve that draws my eye right to where the boardwalk has it's 90 degree corner. The lines of the beach/railing keep attention righ in the upper third of your photo. Nice!

Nice. Those curves add a lot to a composition. I notice them in roads.

Well done! The curves are very pleasing to the eye and make this pair of images compelling. Excellent!

Thank you. That is what struck me when I was seeing the image. Tele foreshortening helps here.
