Does anyone know how old this lens? My husband had it when we got married and we have been married 36 years, It is a vivitar 67 mm auto zoom 1:3:5........ I need the camera that he used with it and I think he still has it. The pictures aren't that great . I tried to clean it up from the dust and lint.

Just by the markings and the tripod collar I would guess the late 70's to early 80's. Looks like a Pre=Series One item. What is the zoom range on it? The focus ring should push out to zoom. It looks almost like the 70-210mm I once had for an Olympus OM-1

I think MT's got the vintage pretty close. It appears to have a Nikon T-Mount on it. We could really use a pic of the front, looking straight into the lens, it will have more data printed around the outside of the front glass element.

Unfortunately, your lens is worth very little. Although the lens may have sentimental value, most buyers/collectors don't take that into account.

I wouldn't think it would have much collector value. A collectible Vivitar is rare, it would have to be a very low production model lens and/or in exceptional condition. And even at that it probably wouldn't have a lot of value as Vivitar was never a top line manufacturer. If you still have the camera it fits, then you have a nice conversation piece, even better if it still works.

Looks very much like a Vivitar T4, had various camera mounts so one lens could fit a variety of cameras, had on , may still stored away somewhere, Bob.
