Hi All,
Just recently moved here (again) and i'm remembering what a great place this is for living and photography. The Bolsa Chica wetlands are incredible as are sunsets and general beach and ocean photography.
Anyway, this is my first experience with any kind of forum. I couldn't resist. This looks like a great community of photo enthusiasts.
So here I am.

Welcome and enjoy, you have come to the right place Jim
Greetings Jim, and welcome to the UHH.
Welcome to the Forum Jim.
Hi Jim,
When do the birds and ducks start migrating into Bulsa Chica? Last time I was there, it was pretty sparse. Beautiful place, though, and I did get some good Haron pictures.
Welcome to UHH Jim, glad you joined us. Have fun and enjoy the forum.

Welcome to the Force...You have entered an addictive land of truths, myths, fantasies, ghosts, goblins and good old fashioned advice (whether you want it or not)...
Seriously though - the folks here have lots of good advice and a couple of days of experience and are willing share what they can - don't hesitate to ask detailed questions, in fact, the more details, the more accurate the answer ;)
A couple of links to help you
navigate the forum and a couple of
resources to hopefully answer your questions or guide you in your quest...
Ask away and post away - looking forward to seeing some photos.
Been walking the wetlands almost every day for exercise. Sometimes take a camera. I'm not a bird expert but almost every day something catches my eye. The other day 5 White Pelicans were "fishing" around the bridge. It was fun to watch. At least 3 times they flew directly overhead. Great view of a great bird. I'm going to take my camera more often.
I'm waiting for the Grebes and Buffleheads and different kinds of ducks to return. I guess they stop by during the winter sometime, but I'm told there have been less in the recent years, still a wonderful place to visit, though, and photograph the Herons and Egrets and Skimmers and the like. Didn't see any Turns last time I was there.... Or Killdeer either. Hope they return. I live about 50 or so miles away..
