I have been following the UHH for a while and enjoy learning more about photography
I have been using a Canon T1i and am working up to buying the new Canon 7D Mark II.
I enjoy travel and wildlife photography but I am more of a picture taker than a photographer - still have a lot to learn.
Welcome to the Hog, xerxesix. You'll find lots of friends & plenty of good advice here. Looking forward to seeing some of the pictures you take.
Very nice photos, xerxesix. I think you're a little more than a picture taker.
You're well on your way, glad you're here. That upgrade in camera will only make you that much better.
Welcome to the family! Very nice pics :)
Very nice shots . Like them all .
[quote=xerxesix] Welcome to the HOG, Xerxisx. We are all picture takers. I am interested how you think a photographer is different. Most of us have software to tweak our pictures. We like to share our best pictures and ask for and give advise and making better pictures. Only a few are paid full time to "take pictures"
David

Thanks
I have been very lazy about post processing. Typically I take the picture and save it. Playing with the tweaking software is probably the next learning process for me

Welcome to the Force...You have entered an addictive land of truths, myths, fantasies, ghosts, goblins and good old fashioned advice (whether you want it or not)...
Seriously though - the folks here have lots of good advice and a couple of days of experience and are willing share what they can - don't hesitate to ask detailed questions, in fact, the more details, the more accurate the answer ;)
A couple of links to help you
navigate the forum and a couple of
resources to hopefully answer your questions or guide you in your quest...
Ask away and post away - looking forward to seeing some photos.
