I think they were blue in the Spring. Now, hiking just after the rain, I find them holding on to as much moisture as possible and looking like small fireworks.
I shot these with my Nikon d5100 and an 18-300 zoom lens in manual mode and hand held. Trying to shoot RAW all the time now.
I added the Oak tree, because it's so lovely filled with a wonderful assortment of nature's gifts.
