I also join with the others and feel great sorrow for the loss of the animals and the owners of those pet's losses. The building can be rebuilt, but the pets can't be replaced. My sympathy to all involved.

I feel I should apologize for this for this post. It's a real downer and probably not appropriate. My excuse - there was nothing we could do for hours and I just needed to connect with someone. I do enjoy your interaction. Thanks for caring. If this post has offended anyone I am sorry.

I feel that there is no need for you to apologize to anyone. You and Cindy are hurting and need comforting in any way possible. If anyone was offended, I don't think they have a heart. When I lost my pal, Blue, so many people responded to my grief and helped me. I have also seen it with other pet owners who lost a part of their family. We are here for you and each other. That's what I love about this forum.

so sorry to hear about this. I have worked at animal hospitals for many years and this is always a huge fear of mine. Hugs to your wife as I know how devastated she is. Will keep you all in my prayers.

My wife is a veterinarian at this animal clinic. It burned down this morning. No employees inside, but all animals were lost. Bad times.

Oh my goodness. That just breaks my heart! My house burned in 1987. We were down at the barn. Thank goodness our 2 dogs were with us but 2 of the world's sweetest parrots were inside. I thought my heart would break all to pieces. I know how this feels! I'm so sorry.

Molly, I guess that is why I posted. I knew there would be people who would care. Thanks for being one of them.

I know the pet owners are devastated. I'm not sure how many folks understand the ache of the care givers. I'm so sorry about your home. Fire scares me terribly.

You must NOT apologize. This is a photo forum, but no matter what kind of forum exists, almost EVERYONE knows what it's like to lose a pet and so our hearts all go out to those who do. It's kind of nice to know that people all over the world still hurt for others who are hurting.

What a horrible thing, unable to do a thing about it except watch it burn, thinking of all those animal and all the owners and poor Cindy. You both will be in my prayers. I feel so sorry for you both. My heart goes out to you.

Wow, this put a lump in my throat. This is sad for you and your wife along with all the owners of the pets, not an easy time for anyone. My thoughts are with everyone involved.
