If you bought this item from AMAZON, they will issue a refund if you explain your situation unless this was a special order item. Amazon has always been excellent for refunding money for unwanted items you've ordered. There may be a restock fee and you'll have to pay the return shipping fees though.

I recently purchased a Sony a6000 and am having difficulty making the shift from my Canon 70D. I am flirting with the idea of returning the camera. Sometimes I think the a6000 is too small. Why did you return yours?

Well that is interesting. I am thinking of adding a small camera to the mix. I am currently using 60 D that is griped. I just don't always have it with me. J. R.

I had reasons like the flash exposer is bad and not as good as my Nikon D750 or any Nikon I have owned. Nikon is king of flash and so is Fujifilm X-T1, X-E-1 and X-E2. I think the Fujifilm X-T1 and X-E2 blow the Sony A6000 out of the water. Very nice mirror less cameras. Then their was auto focus sony says is the fastest. Well My Nikon D750 will blow it out of the water and so will Panosonic G4. I just don't think Sony A 6000 is as good as Sony says it is for the money. It might be better than your Canon 70D but I wouldn't count on it.

I'm getting an incredible amount of noise at ISOs in the 300 to 800 range. Sony boasted about good performance at higher ISOs, and I am not experiencing it. In addition, I find the controls, and the camera in general, too small for me. Mine is going back, and I'll stick with my 70D.

The noise was the other reason I didn't like the Sony A6000. I forgot to mention it sorry. Some of these company's will tell you anything to get you to buy there camera. I personally like the Nikon D750, D7100, Fujifilm X-T1 and X-E2 for small cameras. I have owned all of these cameras and my favorite is D750 and the only camera that beats that are D810 and D4s. If you don't be leave me go check out the DXO reports on all cameras.
When I was talking about DXO go to dxomark.com to find out about DXO ratings. Sony falls way behind Nikon D750 with a 93 rating.

What does what do? If you are talking about DXO it's a independent lab that makes soft wear and does test on cameras and lenses. If you want to know about the camera bracket that's made for the Sony A6000 it will let you mount it to a ball head both vertical and horizontal. It also helps protect and may help hold the camera in your hands.

No silly....he was referring to his auxiliary camera mounting base plate system that was mentioned in the link.

Here's the link again to the product mentioned.

Personally, I think a good wrist strap would suffice.

I believe that the OPs product (plate) is used to fasten to camera, " Quick Release Plate Vertical Bracket Camera Holder For Sony A6000 Arca Swiss Compatible," so that you may use a Arca Swiss tripod head. Thus you can quickly go from horizontal to vertical on a stable platform.

And yes Amazon will take back product. J. R.

I have an A6000 coming so I am hoping for some enjoyment. I have heard that the A6000 ships with the long exposure NR turned on. Turn this off. Also this may help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYXwCGWb7Yg so check it out before returning camera. It may help. Good luck.

Here is one of the first pictures I shot with Fujifilm EX-1. If you look close like way down on the street you can see lots of detail down there.
