I don't use them so consider the source but all I can determine they do is put a blur in a photo that can also be done in 10 seconds in PS. I was on a club shoot with a dozen or so others. One was using a lens baby. Eyese got worn out looking at their shots and also the shots done by another with a fish eye lens. One or two shots are fine but they get old fast in my opinion. Lens Babies seem lie a silly gadget and not much mor but to each his own.

This comes up regularly.

No, you can't do the same thing in Photoshop.

You can do something that looks more or less like it.

Whether that's good enough for a particular application is a personal choice.

As is the question of whether you want to capture the image in camera, immediately, or faff around in Photoshop afterwards.

And yes, I've been using both Photoshop and LensBabies for a very long time.

My overall summary is that they're quite good for certain kinds of pictures, but that I've used them far less than I expected.

Cheers,

R.

agree 100% with Roger. You cannot obtain same or nearly same result in photoshop as you get in the field with the Lensbaby.

Photoshop is not divine!

I have several lensbaby lenses. They are fun to use. It's the type of photography you either like or dislike. More artistic and different.
