I've been waiting for the price to drop on the D7100. It's been selling @ Costco for $1299.99; comes with 18-55mm VR II and 55-300mm VR Lens, 32GB SD Card, Bag, WU-1a Wi-Fi Mobile Adapter. Hoping it will drop further.....

Where is that price? The lowest I can find it is $946.95. A friend is dying to get the camera. Thanks!

I have the D7000 and D600. So far, the newer models don't offer me enough to want to upgrade. Can anyone change my mind?

Not yet, but the D7200 may offer the feature set to justify it.

Adorama also has them refurbished for $819 now - I just bought one for my wife and it had 11 shutter actuations on it. Better than new.

A replacement for the D300s, or just an upgrade of the 7100?

But for those of us who do not have a DSLR at all, better to take advantage of the lower pricing on the D7100 or wait for the 7200?

Anyone know what the differences will be?

I buy lots of stuff from Costco. I love their return policies, their fair support and the way they treat their employees. That said, I will not buy a kit with those lenses from Costco or anyone else. (Not that they are bad lenses) I want to go from 18-200+- with one lens for taking "event" photos. When I want higher quality, then I would go to primes.

I did an event shoot with my new a6000 which had the pancake and a 55-210 and found it frustrating to need to change lenses to reach a face across the room and then change back to catch a guest 10 feet away. With my Nikon that would not be necessary.
