Spent a cold morning at Conowingo and got a few decent photos of the Bald Eagles with new Sigma 150-500mm lens. Still need some practice for sure.

Nice action shots. It was nice of the eagle to turn sideways for you and display his catch.

You were there today?

I was too. Not a lot of action but I did get a few keepers.

Some of the better shots that I've seen so far from Conowingo. I'm going to try out my "Better Beamer" on my eagle shots this year. All of our early morning shots are shot in the shade of a mountain behind me. Were you shooting off a tripod and if so what type head did you use or were you free holding your camera?

Nice shots Ron. I like #2 but would like to see a crop of #1 as right now it looks out of balance with the eagle leaving the frame.
I would be glad to offer an example if you would like.

It was convenient for the Eagle to turn. Thanks for the compliment.

I shot some from a tripod with a ball head and some were hand held, not sure which way these two were taken.
