This is not a PP program. It is used to get exif and other information from your raw or unprocessed jpeg file.

I have used it since version 2.1. The free version lets you read ALL Exif data available. The paid version allows you to make modifications and/or deletions of data on a line by line basis. I do have the paid version on my desktop and its handy to add detailed Copyright data or PP data.

If the image is on line I use a firefox plugin that get the info I need.

EXIF Tool is also a Exif reader that lets you edit some internals as well and its also free.

Pie studio has been around for years. One time purchase and free updates. My version has likely been updated a dozen times. I have Lt room & Photoshop & Perfect photosuite but still use Pie Studio for printing. I like the layouts...simple and easy to use. I feel that it is extremely good value, and am impressed with "lifetime" updates at no extra charge. Hope this helps.

You don't need to download anything if you have a Mac. Just click on the photo’s icon, then press Command-i to bring up the info dialog. When it appears, click on the "i" in the circle (More Info Inspector). Then select "Exif" and the basic EXIF data will appear.

Don't know why so many are available on the App Store as paid apps.

I also use ACDSee and Irfanview.....I know your style well enough to tell you that you should check out the FREE version of this program...It exhibits metadata in the kind of detail someone like you and I can appreciate. If there is a piece of information about the camera, lens or photo, it would seem top be listed here. I think you would like it...Nothing to lose, even if you turn out to not like it at all....If you do....= WIN!
