PNagy, you made a fine action photo. But! It's not cropped tight enough. Many sports action photography that I see posted in UH,
all do the same thing.
Their sports action photos do not show what the photo has to say. They photograph too far away, use a short lens not long enough, show too much in there photo, and mostly shoot from a high standing position, kneeling is best and does not show looking down at the photo.
I took the liberty of showing my corrections on your fine example HS Football photo. I was a freelance SPORTS Photographer fifteen years. AP
A tight crop tells a better story on whats going on.
A tighter crop is even better, shows whats about to happen. If you made just one more frame, maybe the ball would show #4 blocking it!
This is your fine photo with no corrections. It shows too much in the picture.
Nice shot!! But with the exception of the old Los Angeles Rams style helmets, the kicking team has the ugliest uniforms I have EVER seen

AnthonyP: You re right; I should have cropped the imager. My client, who is a football coach, prefers to see as many of his players in the shot as possible, but I should have changed the presenttion on UHH.
