Costco is selling a Wolverine film and slide converter. Normally $110, but it is now only $80, $30 off.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this product?
Scans a 35mm slide to a 20Meg file size. They don't five the final pixel dimensions, but the 20Meg sounds like a good resolution conversion. 24 bit conversion level. 3 to 5 seconds per slide conversion time. Goes on sale Nov 24.

20 megabytes will give you a 3650 X 5475 image which will print a good 12 X 18 inches at 300 dpi.

It does not scan the slide or negative. It has a built in camera that takes a picture of the slide or negative. As a result it only takes about 3 seconds to capture a slide which is really quick if you have ever done any actual scanning.

Read this in a review....never used one.

I used the F2D to 'scan' thousands of slides and am totally satisfied with the results. The largest enlargements I've made so far is only 8x10 but with very acceptable results. It's a very workable and inexpensive approach.

I have used one to scan slides. Make sure the slides are cleaned prior copying.

I have an Epson V700 flatbed scanner that uses different holders for all sizes of film and slides. The scanner lid has a light source used for scanning. I'm very happy with its output, it's just a little slow and the type of thing one tries to do in the background while doing other things.
The simplicity and speed interested me for that kind of money.

I did the opposite. I started with a Wolverine 8MP scanner for slides, then got an Epson V550 for the versatility, copying photos, docs, etc.

For just slides, especially if you have a lot of them, it's hard to beat the Wolverine for ease of use and speed. Yes, I would go for it.
