Wow! Amazing stuff, but he has to be crazy.
I can remember when the 1965 Mustang came out. The girls went crazy about it. I still think it is one of the best looking cars around. Now that was some great driving. I once stopped at a light next to a car that had the driver talking to another car on the other side of him. He was bragging about how great his car was and that he could spin the back wheels sitting still. The other driver dared him to do it. He put the car in gear and spun the wheels and smoke went everywhere. The light changed and he stopped spinning the wheels and moved forward. Next I hear a police siren and lights. The cops where sitting right behind him. I guess he never checked his mirror. I wonder what the cop said. LOL.

I agree but he is one helluva driver. I bet that there were a lot of pissed off people in LA with all those streets closed off.

It's easy to spin the backs with rear wheel drive. Just hold the brakes firmly. The front brakes will hold enough to let the back wheels spin temporarily. For fun poor some bleach in front of the rear wheels. Talk about smoke.

Exhibition Driving - $50.00
Court Cost - $125.00
Have a nice day!
Exhibition Driving was a catch-all used by the police as it was easier to prove and get a conviction than a reckless driving charge.
It was also 2 pts on the drivers license versus the 6 pts for reckless driving.

Early in cop career I was sitting at a light off a main road through St Louis City. Where I was sitting there were buildings on the two corners I was sitting between, which obstructed a view of me. This was spring time and I had my window open. I could hear a male and female talking to each other, car to car. They were laughing and yelling at each other. Their light turned green and they both began a drag race. I pulled out, activated my red lights and pulled both cars over. Turns out they were former high school class mates and were trying to catch up. I told them I would send them both to court on the same day so they could "catch up." I doubt my charity was appreciated though.

This took a lot of co-ordination with the cops to clear the streets of LA.
Great video. I haven't heard the word "gymkhana" since the 60's.

Wonder how many tire changes he had to do for the entire video.

My First New Car at 16, was a 65 Mustang, 260...but nothing quite like this rig, though I did drive a little insane now and then... I bought my "Stang" with my paper route earnings (had a hell of a route)

Good question. Couldn't see if they were slicks or regular street tires.  :-D
