They have a very good price on a camera I want.
I am sure it is gray market but a very very good price.
Anyone have experience doing this.
Will Nikon still service gray market stuff for a fee?

No, Nikon USA will not service "gray market" products even for a fee, regardless of where you purchase it.
No technical support, no software downloads, no warranty.
I would not deal with this company.

why are you "sure" it's grey market?
In any case...Here's Dr. Bob's prescription for being happy:
Buy your camera's from B&H or Adorama, or Samy's.
No charge and no co-pay...have a nice day!
They are also charging $100 more for a USA model D810.
You would have to be out of your mind to buy from them.

If you are positive it is gray market, then why would you want it?
I bought from them once several years ago. The camera I bought was not gray market, came with full US warranty. However, they did try to up sell me to other items. I firmly said "no" and that was that. Since then I have purchased from B&H because they are better rated company.

Everyone is correct. Gray market, especially with Nikon, will leave you in the cold if something needs servicing.
Also, Abes can be sneaky about trying to charge extra for accessories ordinarily included (i.e. straps, batteries, cases, etc.)
Avoid them.
NO on Nikon grey.
NO on Abes.
Two strikes and you'll lose.

I trust B&H Photo. If you're into used lenses, try keh.com. You might save a couple of dollars at Abe's, but B&H is very trustworthy.

It is my understanding that if you have a gray market Nikon you must send it to Japan if it needs repairs.
Nikon USA won't touch a gray market camera NO Matter What!
If you want reputable dealers, B&H, Adorama, Cameta, Robert's, and Sammy's are the ONLY ones to deal with IMHO. KEH is good for used equipment.
I delt with them once. Scheisters of the 1st degree. From ny and moved back to ny. No longer in Maine. Remember you were warned. Be very afraid. These guys will run you through the mill and then some. If you order from them, you'll be in for the ride of your life.

CAUTION!!! Listen to the folks that have dealt with Abe's. My wife got me a $200.00 gift certificate from Abe's, and it was the beginning of the worst on line experience I've ever had. I'll NEVER deal with them again.
I have purchased from Abes of Maine and I was 100% satisfied with what they shipped me (Nikon products both gray market and non gray market Nikon) and with their service. They actually contacted me before shipping one item to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. They are up front with what the product is (gray market or not) and they are competitive in pricing. I will do business with them again.
Big caution! I bought a camera once , and never again! I do not like high pressure sales! After I bought the camera for a low price, they kept calling me and hounding me about buying other things! I told them NO, but they kept calling. I had a helluva time getting my camera repaired! Buyer beware!
