Love these. Just found out this morning that a group I dive with is going there in 2016. Can't wait. How long were you there?

I spent 18 days there with 16 days of diving (52 dives). The first 10 days were at Kasawari Lembeh Resort (29 dives) AWESOME!!! Then we went over to the other side of North Sulawesi Island to Minahasa Lagoon Resort (23 Dives) for 8 days. Kasawari is in the Lembeh Straight and every dive was amazing. Minahasa had some muck diving, some coral reef type diving and some wall diving over on Bunakah Island where we went every other day. The Lembeh Straight had the most amazing critters and the Kasawari guides were awesome. I had a 60 mm lens with a diopter and my 105 mm lens. Prefer the 105, but the 60 with the diopter worked for the larger and tiny tiny critters, but with the diopter the DOF was very small, so sometimes it was hard to find the critter and then stay focused if there was current. I would love to go back, but think this may have been a one and done trip as my wife is a non diver and did not go with me. I went with my dive buddy. My wife wants to see other places and that is what we will be doing when we leave for Australia in Jan and cruise to Singapore, then back to Bali, return to Singapore and then come home. Living on a fixed income, that drains the funds for another trip to Lembeh (at least for now)

Wow. Thanks for the info. My wife is a diver, but it's getting harder to get her to go on trips. She thinks she's getting too old.

You are correct, Lembeh is a magical place for different looking critters. I was fortunate to make it there on three occasions and the last trip was over crowding at most dive sites. My wife is a none dover as well, but insists on tagging along for the adventure. She also has issues with 24 plus hours on an airplane. Congrats on great captures, did you spot any rhinos or blue ring octo ?

These are very nice captures. Most of them also look as though they "true macro" (1:1) shots. We would love for you to share these types of images there too.
