SOLD

This lens is not new, it was inspected, tested and reconditioned to factory specifications by Kenko Tokina USA, Inc prior to my purchase. I have had this refurbished Tokina lens for three months and used it on one shoot for about 50 photos on a Canon 6D and Canon T3i. It performs flawlessly, is like new, clean with no scratches, dents, dings, dust, or fungus. It comes in the original refurbish box directly from Kenko Tokina with manual, lens hood, front and rear caps. Paid $400, looking for $350

The Canon version of the lens already has a built-in AF motor and will benefit from the improved multi-coating.
The optical system of original AT-X 124 PRO DX won awards for its sharpness world-wide.
This design was maintained in the AT-X 124 PRO DX II and improved with the introduction of new multi-coating_ system.
The new multi-coating helps reduce reflections that can cause flare and ghosting even more than in the AT-X 124 PRO DX.
The AT-X 124 PRO DX II features the one-touch focus clutch mechanism.
To use the one-touch focus clutch mechanism, move the focus ring forward, towards the front of the lens, for AF or back for MF.
This allows for a fast and easy manual over-ride in difficult lighting situations.
Digital single-lens reflex DX lens_ dedicated to digital SLR cameras with APS-C sized sensors.

If you only had it for 3 months why are you selling it?

The reason I am selling this lens, I felt I needed a super wide angle zoom for a special shoot of several large groups of people. I already own a Canon 17-40 L lens, but felt the reach for these particular shots was not wide enough. When I used it on my 6D, there was heavy vignetting of the photos until I zoomed in to at least 15mm. If I had brought along my T1i, I would have been able to take full advantage of this lens's capability. I realize now that this lens is built specifically for the APS-C size sensor, and not really for my full-frame sensor. My pro camera is the 6D, therefore I am selling it.

I need a lens for class reunions and family groups. Most of the time the group does not exceed 25 or 30 people. I used to have a 24mm wide angle when I shot film that worked great for these types of situation. I have a rebel xti. I'm a novice when it comes to what works with what. Will this le.ns work with my xti

Your Xti has an APS-C smaller sensor, so this lens was made for smaller sensor cameras. It will definitely work as expected on your camera.
