Looking for a used lens, however must be in excellent condition and with Clean glass / no scratches /cracks / no fungus / no dust.
Lens hood and front and rear lens cap included. The filter threads must have no cross threading and the body with minimal wear with no dents.

This lens is one of the "Holy Trinity". A great piece of glass. If you find one used, I would find out why it is being sold. The price will probably be very close to a new one.

If someone comes along with one, be suspicious. A supposed good quality used one, on ebay, sells for almost the cost of a new one, $2500 at B&H. Buy a new one. When I travel, and I do quite often, I take most of the time, two lenses, the 70-200 2.8 and 24-70 2.8. One is mounted on my D610 and the other on my D810. These are two great lenses.

I would consider selling my backup 70-200mm 2.8, VR II. It has a couple of minor scratches on the paint. Glass is pristeen, as it has never been used without a filter since new. It does not come with a filter because I am using it on my primary lens. It has a couple of dust specks which do not affect image quality. There is no such thing as a used lens without dust, and I have seen factory new lenses wit a speck or two. Guaranteed to work perfectly.

I have the VRI model and it is great. You could save some bucks in looking for one of those instead of the VRII.

I kind of doubt you will find a pristine used 70-200, most of us that have them, cherish them. Maybe an estate sale? Do you know an old photographer with a weak heart, and scares easily?
I have had the best luck with used equipment from KEH.com, they always seem to underestimate the quality of the lens. I once got a lens that was listed as Bargain, that looked almost brand new. That lens is still being used by one of our apprentices.

I have a Nikon SMW AF-S VR NIKKOR 70-200mm 1:2.8 G sn# 335280 Made in Japan, in pristine condition. With lens hood,both caps + Heliopan UV filter , soft case CL-M2. No scrash, fungus, dust ... even lens hood is 'no scrash'. Sorry, no box. Contact me at Bachdanggiang65@yahoo.com
