Could I use a 28-90mm EF lens from my old Ti canon film camera on any of the canon digital cameras like the T3i or T5i.and how good would it be would it be worth it? Thanks Jim Bianco

Yes you can. It will be as good as it was on the film camera

The only difference is that the sensor on a Rebel is only roughly 60% the size of a 35mm frame, so what you see through your viewfinder will correspond to what you would see on a film camera if you were using a 45-144mm lens.

The 35-80 off of my Rebel S II works on my 50D ;-)

Yes, the EF lenses will work on Canon digital cameras, but the EF lenses are designed for full-frame images; the EF-S lenses are designed for the APS-C image sensors. So the EF lenses on a T3i or T5i will not provide the same images that you had with the film camera; the quality will be there, but the content will be smaller at a given distance.
