Wow! It's been a while since I have made any photos. Tonight, I am attending my first session after eye surgery. Although the doctor told me to use my left eye. Having worn coke bottle glasses for more than 60 years it feels strange not wearing glasses and I keep reaching to adjust something that's not there. My vision is almost 20/20 and getting better, it seems. My new dynamic range is incredible. I am really excited to begin shooting again. Thanks for all the good wishes.

That's good to hear David. I will probably undergo cataract surgery sometime in the next year and I'm really curious to see how it's going to effect my PP style.

That's great news David. I'm due for cataract surgery in December then, hopefully, I won't need corrective lenses.

My surgery is 12/18, although I don't think I am going through what you did. Cannot wait till the blurry right eye is gone. Good luck, did the op give you xray vision tooo. That would be KEWL.

Three days after cateract surgery on October 30, I experienced a complete retinal detachment. I went through surgery to repair it, but haven't taken a picture since. Not always good.

Had second eye done last month. I haven't seen this well since about 1934.

Glad to hear your surgery went well. My wife has trouble with her eyes because of diabetes. Hope your good luck continues, looking forward to seeing some of your photos.

I had my surgery in April. My vision is now 20/15. I have a reading/astigmatism prescription but do not need it for most things.

Thanks everyone. This, for me, is a pretty remarkable experience. My wife is amazed as well.

Don't mean to scare anyone. But it is a possibility those facing cataract surgery should be aware of, and address with their doctors. My first cataract surgery three years ago went well---had no reason to anticipate a problem this time, but it happened.
Thanks.

I had my surgery because I could no longer get improvements for my vision plus the cataracts had to be addressed. I weighed my options and had a heart to heart with my doctor because of my photography and I showed him some of my photographs to emphasize my position. I told him I did not care if I had to wear glasses afterwards but I had to be able to make photos. As a side note, Dr. Ronald Ingram has had people from as far away as Saudi Arabia come to him especially for his skills in eye surgery.
