Moon Shot Processed with Three Separate Photo Software Programs - Before/After

I took this Moon photo earlier in the year and since the weather is so bitter cold here, 20 degrees Fahrenheit at 2:00PM Ohio time (11-18-2014), I decided to experiment a little. I used Piccure Plus (demo) + Photoshop Elements 12 + Photofiltre to process my Moon shot to see what I could come up with... check out the comparison below and read the "HINT" also...

HINT:
You can use the "Download" View + Magnifier (+) and then Hold down Keyboard "Ctrl Key" and use "Mouse Scroll" wheel to zoom in or out further... it still looks pretty good scrolled to 300% even after "Download View and Magnifier(+)" use...

That is way cool Bruce on the editing job, Super Detail.
And the Hint, that makes it really convenient for all the post.
Craig
PS: Is Piccure Plus that much better to sharpen without Noise & Artifacts than say Topaz???

Thanks Craig. Piccure Plus is much faster and easier but Topaz might have finer tuning abilities but takes more effort and work. Piccure plus will get you into the ballpark quicker and does a good job but I still use PSE12 and Photofiltre for some fine tweaking.

Thank you Bruce. I just downloaded Piccure Plus and will post a shot or 2 on 'True Macro-Photography Forum'

You are welcome Craig. that is what makes Hedgehog great. we help each other to do better. not everyone helps each other. they don't want to share and try to protect their edge. I like to help others when I can. but I must admit that I got the info from another Hedgehog: "JimH123".

Hi Craig...

Do you think Piccure Plus will become a part of your arsenal to assist you in your post processing endeavors?

I have the 30 day trials on Topaz and Piccure Plus and I find PP to be quick and easy with Piccure Plus.
It has only Sharpening, Optical Aberration, Blur and Noise.
Then let Lightroom do the rest.

Hi Craig...

I believe that Piccure Plus has a 14 day free trial unless they have extended it within the last couple of weeks... since you have Lightroom and if you decide to get Procurre Plus, you can get 30% off if you have a receipt that is less than two years old.. e-mail the proof of purchase first to "offer@piccure.de" (without quotes) and they will e-mail the discount code back to you to use at the checkout if you decide to purchase Piccure Plus... here is a copy of my e-mail to them...

Please see the attached receipt for my "Topaz Labs Details" software purchase validation for my 30% discount for the purchase of the "Piccure Plus Software Program".

They e-mailed my discount code back to me within 30 minutes... here is their e-mail response...

"Hi Bruce, Thank you very much for your email. Your coupon code is... XXXXXXX... (I blanked my code number out)

Please enter the coupon code upon checkout (see: http://piccureplus.com/?page_id=628). If you pay with PayPal, the coupon code is entered after the PayPal login. Apologies for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.
Best,

You don't have to use a "PayPal" account to pay... you can use any of the charge cards that they list or you can use an "Amazon Account" charge card if you have one...

In "addition" to the 30% discount, if you recommend someone with their e-mail address you are also supposed to get another 10% discount after their e-mail verification is completed...

If you purchase the activation key, just enter it into the Piccure Plus 14 day trial software and it will activate your program... after you get the program activated go the the program menu and do the Piccure Plus software update.

P.S. Probably too much info...

I reoriented the photos to make it easier to compare the difference between two Moon photos... It is the same Moon shot but different post processing...
