Thanks, Linda. I am having more fun than one person can handle! :-D
I can do paint by numbers.
Pinkycat, you may be suffering from SAD (seasonal depression) and an addiction to Topaz Programs. Photoshop is offering a 12 step program to bring you back to the fold of purists realism.
This far I have resisted Topaz Impression, but still snort DAP (Dynamic AutoPaint, emulates the brush stroke of the masters). It is comforting to know that we do not stand alone in improving on nature. Monsanto has also received a lot of flack about improving on nature.
I LOVE the last one! The colors in all three are super!

Any "black Friday" sales on impression yet?
I'm about to download my trial copy, as I've been asked to do a memorial photo for the family of a fireman that died in a fire. It is an action shot of him, but they asked if I could make it look more "artistic" and not as easily identifiable as him, so it represents any fireman that lost his life in the call of duty. Figured I'd try the Impression route first, before I spent a ton of time working on something that may or may not be what they had in mind.

That is an interesting solution to a photographic challenge. I've been looking for something that can be used is a similar way to hide the effects of age. A painter can make an old man or woman appear much younger. A photographer uses tack sharp lenses where the "details" are very clear. That's good, but not when the subject is not happy with it.
Pinkycat, you have made excellent images, no need to apologize for your addictions. I love what this does for the peony, and absolutely love the Rinsing Off piece.
