How to get the precious Back Links

Hi guys,
I'm wondering if anyone here has any advice and info on link building with higher ranking photography web sites?
I'm in a program KeywordAcademy (Very good info BTW) where they say - "try and make 2 quality links a day or more a day."
Anchored links. In the Photography field or category.
I'm trying to add quality information here and there around the web, but I'm wondering if there is another way.
My site is new and it's a coaching site, feedback and advice welcome.
It's geared to everyone really, newbies and pros.

Note: Still working on pages "look" or "theme as they call it on WordPress." Site is only up a week. I have loads more articles coming in the coming days and weeks.
I can help others here with tips on WordPress sites as I've gotten a handle on some great features WP offers, etc.
