can any one suggest a good camera card for my Nikon d5200? Ive got the one that came with it, but want something bigger. Would the Scandisk SDHC Extreme Class 10 be a good one ? with Black Friday coming I figure its a good time to get something bigger! Thanks!

That's perfect. You can get them at Costco for
practically 2 for the price of one.
Have fun and happy holidays.

I'm in Africa right now with a Sony 64GB SD XC1 and it handles all my needs well. My whole trip will probably fit. Yes, I backup to my laptop and synch to an external hard drive as well, so I have 3 copies of everything. Also, additional 16GB cards, never trust all of your technology to never fail! Can't go wrong with anything Class 10, there are just some more extreme versions with faster write speeds that might be better for you if you do a lot of continuous shooting and want your buffer to last a few extra shots.

I bought the PNY 256gb, 90 mb/sec. It works just fine on my 5dMKIII. This is a SC card, not CF. It is only $109. Now why such a big size, well, actually it's in the just because category. There is no way I will ever come close to filling it up, at least not with todays mb pictures. I can easily get 10,000 pictures in RAW on this card, 3x that with jpeg. I guess if I did video a lot more, it would be valuable. Anyway, couldn't pass up the price. The 64 gb version is only $33, the 256 is still available at $109. This is on Amazon.
I also have a 16gb extreme pro, which I use for HDR shooting, as it takes up to 7 shots in a row, filling up the cache, and taking some time to write the files if I do multiple sets of pictures.

Best bang for buck -
Sandisk Extreme Plus. 80/60MB/s read/write speed for the 16GB and up.
Better yet (especially when on sale) -
Samsung Pro. 90MB/s read speed, 80MB/s write speed for the 32Gb and up
