This is the main building at St. Mary's College. My wife works there, and I was delivering boots to her. You can see why.
My niece graduated from St Mary's a few years ago and often speaks of that wonderful experience and the close connection to Notre Dame.

I was raised here in South Bend, and thought all college campuses looked like those of Notre Dame and Saint Mary's. You should have seen my face when I arrived in West Lafayette, to begin my four years at Purdue!
I took a visit to Purdue while in high school and just recall a depressing environment of brick buildings distanced from each other and a campus that was just blah! Being a Catholic I was like everyone else and wanted to go to Notre Dame, but just didn't have the academics to do that. Ended up at Ball State for undergraduate work and Indiana University for post graduate degrees.

As I walked home from the mall yesterday afternoon, I saw a picture I wanted, but it was too late for me to return with my camera, so this morning I returned to take it.
Returning home I saw a couple of trees that hadn't gone the memo (that winter is here).
BTW - anyone who wants to post other winter scenes
should feel free to add them to this thread.
desolation of winter - no footprints, no leaves
oak tree didn't get memo
another tree didn't get the memo
