1st photo is of christmas tree worms. You can find them in all sorts of colors and disappear in a heartbeat when they feel threatened. They are filter feeders.

cool post. I've been on many dives where i have seen something that leaves me utterly amazed. that bat fish would've done it for me. gary
Oh yes, gwr. Critterhunter let me know what that one was before. The funny thing is we have seen these really close to shore...in the shallows.

yeah, critterhunter is very knowledgable and posts some great pics. i love diving the Caribbean but since my daughter entered college my $$ has gone elsewhere. hopefully, in a couple years i"ll be back underwater again. i'll dive where I'm from but it pales in comparison. gary
