This bridge was built without mortar in New Hampshire about 1800 and is still standing. Craftsmanship.

I like the photo and the old bridge. It is amazing that in some parts of America, if not the world, homes are still standing and in use from the early 1600's. Yet homes built these days are falling apart after 25 years or so.

In most areas of Europe you can find houses that are considered "new" if they were built in the 1600's. I've been in towns in Germany that have celebrated their 1000 year anniversary as a town. North America is still just a baby.

Yes that is absolutely true and I have seen some of those towns. I simply did not want to belabor the point when the focus was on the nicely done photo.

Please, DrWilk, no apology necessary. I was not offended and knew you were simply expanding what I had brought up. I appreciate you making the comment.

Very nice composition. The angle of the arch in the bridge, the rocks along the shore line, and the shoreline itself draw the eye in.
Well done.
