A really nice photo. And a great example of Photomatix used the way it was meant.
Thank you skylane5sp - a great picture!.
Great image and HDR effort. Really brought out the dark areas very nicely. Just what HDR should do. Keep up the great work and have a GREAT DAY!

Beautiful work
Thanks for all your comments!
I learned something last night. I just about had a heart attack when I first saw the merged image. This is the first HDR I've done with lots of sky. (All my others have been interior for real estate.) If I look really hard, there are a couple of very faint sensor spots visible on any single image but when I stacked six... OMG! I thought I had a D600 with oil spattered all over the place. Clone brush is my friend.
I always like photo's of the mountain, and yours is no exception. The HDR worked well, in this case more was beneficial.

I really like what you were able to do with the Photomatix.
I'm looking in to it now. What all can you do with it???

Check out Trey Ratcliff. He has some incredible tutorials. Discount code for Photomatix too. I've been playing mostly with fusion as it gives the more natural result needed for real estate. I am working on some pics I took of a large autoclave at work that will be "more" if that makes any sense...

"More" is going to be another Topic you will start?

Very, very well done. Not overcooked.
Nice balance.
