I had to reinsert my Corel Paintbrush Pro but the computer kept coming up with an error. Does Corel limit the number of times that a DVD can be used and, if so is it legal as, having purchased the disc surely it is your property?

Is it a new computer with an operating system that the program is not compatible with?

I have had the same problem with other programs. To prevent someone loading up a bunch of computers with one purchase the number of times it can be activated is limited. I contacted the company each time and explained, new computer, new hard drive, reinstall etc. and every time it happened they either gave me a new activation code or some other fix. They just need to know that it isn't some cheap skate loading it on all the computers of 99 of his dearest friends.

Go to Corel's website and click onto where is says purchase the software and once a new window opens, there should be a section where you can register your software again by using the license # that had come with your disc.

The software is not your property even though the disc is. When you install you are asked to check a box agreeing to install on only one computer. Some software companies have schemes to prevent you from installing consumer purchased software on multiple computers. Microsoft is particularly tough on this; registration is necessary to activate the software. However, to my knowledge, Corel does not have any such scheme.

Not true. What you have purchased is a license to use the software. Terms differ on whether you may install on one or more machine, but the software vendor retains ownership, and hence legal control over usage. Yes, you do own the disc, but not its contents.

Are you using Linux rather than Microsoft? It may be if that is the case that this program will not run in a Linux operating system or any of its many derivatives Ubunto etc.
Have you changed the operating system.

Python is a coding language which will run on windows machines but needs Python to be installed I believe. Im no expert on this but look up Python on wikipedia and Google something like " how to run Python on a windows PC".
I think you need to contact Corel and see what you need to do. There are loads of versions of Python so you need to make sure if your copy is corrupted you download the correct version.
Best of luck my man.
