Since there were no bugs out today I spent some time taking fungi photos.
Dead Man's fingers about 4 inches tall, the red button was about the size of a pea, and the little brown parasols were about the diameter of a nickel. Although they don't move around much they were challenging due to the dim light on an overcast day in the deep woods. I used a bean bag (actually an old pant leg half filled with Styrofoam beads for a bean bag chair.) for support, and the self timer set to 12 seconds to allow for everything to settle after I hit the Expose button.

Very nice work. Love the 2nd. shot.
Great Shots!
Here's a few of mine from my phone.
Excellent shots, Anthony!
Well done,Anthony! There are a lot of challenges when photographing in the deep woods and the fact that these are so tiny makes that challenge even greater. I love those
"dead man's fingers". I've never seen those before and are so interesting. Impressive!

Thank you very much. I must admit, the name "Dead Man's Fingers" is my own, not a technical or even common name. I just kind of thought it was appropriate. When I looked up the name it is a different fungus altogether. They were incredibly fragile. Just trying to remove some tree needles they broke off.
