You don't know my politics Dirt, so it would be fair to remind you that assumptions are the "mother of disaster". Your comments simply indicate how out of touch with reality you are. Thanks again for the validation.

I thought for sure this was going to be about that HBO concert. No time to bother reading another distorted op ed from PoliticusUSA.

You might want to save yourself some time Dirt by simply posting the home page for your news source every week or so and let folks select the articles they want to read (if any). 8-)

So what did the republicans have to do with the Veterans Day program. The democRATs are the orchestrators , you know like HBO, Starbucks and the DNC.

this is just one story very sad story. but it is one of those job bills all here keep telling me the republicans was waiting mixed in a pile on harrys desk.. i'm very glad he was there to stop.\\

The bill, H.R. 3474, consists of one amendment to the Internal Revenue Code to give large employers authority to exclude former service members from having access to employer-provided healthcare.

You are entirely misrepresenting this bill and it's intended benefit. By the way, it passed in the House by a v**e of 406-1.

only sugjjestion is pull it up and read it.there is no mis representation at all.

H.R. 3474. The bill did not advance in the Senate, as ... Parity for Exclusion for Employer-Provided Mass T***sit and Parking Benefits, ... Credit for Health Insurance Costs of Eligible Individuals. .... 8 Internal Revenue Service, Statistics of Income, Table 3.4, 2011
and give large employers authority to exclude former service members.

now that is a real health bill...

This amendment does no such thing. It would allow employers to exclude veterans receiving health insurance from the United States Department of Defense or the United States Department of Veterans' Affairs from their list of employees. This would have the effect of keeping their list of employees shorter, allowing some small businesses to fall underneath the 50 full-time employees line that would require them to provide their employees with healthcare under the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. It does NOT prohibit those employers from providing insurance if they so choose. It shields them from onerous ACA requirements.

Yes. this bill was designed to increase the potential hiring of veterans and had nothing to do with their health insurance. Thanks for understanding.
