5Dlll listing question

I hope this is the right section to post in. If not, admin has my permission to move to general chit chat. I just saw an ad on UHH for a Canon 5D lll for $2029 by a company The Digital Pros. Knowing well in advance that this is probably a bait and switch grey market item, I was curious as to what they were trying to con people out of. Reviewing their site I found all the usual fluffed packages from the advertised $2029 to $4879. I then went to www.ripoffreport.com and what did I find ... much to my shocked amazement every post was an alert that they were a scam and to avoid at all cost. I was stunned. (Yeah, right!). So my question with this post is the following. If UHH is a photography web site dedicated to serious photographers of every level how can they accept advertising from a company that is obviously so ethically low and willing to cheat their own mothers. Yes, I know, money talks and a buck is still a buck and it is what keeps this site free. But, aren't there some other more reputable businesses out there willing to spend their advertising dollars on a high profile photography web site whose viewers are more than happy to spend their hard earned money. All I can say, and this has been said many times before - caveat empty (buyer beware). If it looks too good to be true, it probably isn't.

Its ALL about the Benjamins!

The site does not sell the ads directly, but they sell the ad space to adware posters and those adware posters put on whoever has the bucks to spend for the space, regardless of whether or not they are legitimate companies. And the illegitimate sellers always have more free money than the legitimate ones, that's why their ads are more frequently seen.

The "ads" you see here are NOT sponsored or reviewed by UHH.
They are simply run by Google ads and are determined by YOUR searches. NONE of them have be specifically approved by UHH, so beware!!

Use an AD BLOCKER and most of them will disappear.

I guess I'm guilty of the same.
I'm spoiled by such flawless service and support provided by both companies (B&H & RRS), that I rarely shop elsewhere (except for an occasional foray on Amazon because of their stellar return policies.)

Remember the old adage: "If it's too good to be true, it isn't true."

I am pretty much the same. B&H, Adorama, Amazon, Costco and very carefully on UHH and Craigslist. Very good experiences on both. Also selected local photo stores.

If at first you don't succeed, stop stop stop and wait for the website to catch up. :D
You are not the first and will not be the last. Thanks for the levity.
