Since the rules say, no cussin', fightin' or spittin' on the floor, I'll just tell you about myself.
I got my first camera from a garage sale when I was 8. It was a Brownie box camera that used "620" film that only held 12 exposures per roll. It was a favorite of mine until they no longer sold the film for it. I soon got caught up in the use of a 110 instamatic POC and quickly lost interest in photography because of it. Some time later, I got into SLR's and saved for my first "new" camera, a Minolta Maxxum 7000 with all of the bells and whistles. I eventually got tired of the cost and put it aside. I got back into it again this year with the purchase of a Nikon DSLR, D3100 w/ a 18-200mm lens so far it has been a rush, I hope it doesn't fade again.
welcome! I got some old camera's too.
My first SLR was also a Minolta 7000i. I LOVED that camera... except for the cost of the film. i finally got a Konica-Minolta 7D. I never quite took to it, though I would have continued with it except that it needed $250.00 worth of repair. Now i have a Nikon D300S. A lot of camera in many many ways. I have a lot to learn.
