These are some of my first tries at creating some LOMO effect in a few of my shots. Any suggestions. They were done using Photoshop Elements 12.
I like the old broken wheel photo the most. It may be that I am more partial to anything western, and the fact that it displays it's age so well.

It is actually the rear wheel on the old cart in the photo. The cart is an ornamental piece sitting under a tree at a local golf course. Thanks for the comments.
I really like the 2nd image :)

I think they look great. Not sure what LOMO is!?!
Very interesting old-time rural images, and nicely composed.
However, I would not say that these images are entirely convincing simulations of photographs produced by a LOMO camera. The plastic lenses on a LOMO are not anywhere as sharp as your examples, and optic distortions increase dramatically the further away from the center. Also, you won't really encounter a shallow DOF achieved by a LOMO such as your "Wagon Wheel" image; I think the aperture is fixed at around f/8 or f/11 on the typical LOMO camera.
For a more convincing LOMO effect, try shooting through a piece of slightly warped, clear plastic positioned in front of your lens, and choose an aperture value closer to what one would expect on a LOMO camera.
Not sure what lomo is but 1&2 look good..#3 is obviously layered by adding in the blue sky...tell us what lomo is!

lomography
a type of art photography in which color is emphasized. Traditionally, cameras such as the Holga, Lomo, Colorsplash, and Supersampler are used to create strange and unusual photographs. Lomographic photos are primarily characterized by vignettes (blurry and faded edges), random subjects, and nonadherance to traditional photography rules.
There are many examples of LOMO on the internet. Photoshop Elements 12 provides part of its' guided edit to help with LOMO effects. Filter Forge also has editing that helps create the effect.
True LOMO utilizes special lenses or cameras to produce oversaturated slightly out of focus and vignette pictures.
My examples are far from traditional but I thought the results were interesting.

Thanks Rich. I always look for something different to try with post processing because there is so much you can achieve by experimenting

Old lomo cameras had cheap plastic lenses with a lot of light leaks. I hate to say it, but the Elements 12 version of lomo just looks like vignetting to me. Just my opinion.
If you look at ebay and other places, you can actually get a cheap lomo type lens for your DSLR.
Nice photos though.
